What do you think...does my best friend like me??

I have a friend who i've been friends with for years. I'm in college (so is he) & we go to the same one. We hang out basically everyday and when we go to dinner alot of the time he pays for me, we exchange x-mas gifts, and he even goes so far to read my email/facebook. When I talk about dates with other guys he gets really inquisitive and doesn't approve of any of them. We haven't done anything and really don't even hug but when we get around people they say we act married and should date. What do you think? Is there something more their...does he possibly like me?? What do I say b/c I could see myself liking him as more than a friend...
